Hotel Park Plaza Denies Hosting Any Orchestra Tonight

Management at the Hotel Park Plaza wishes to clarify that 'Ramon Raquello and his orchestra' did not perform in its Meridian Room tonight. The band was invented for the broadcast, and the hotel's actual dance music came from the CBS studio orchestra in New York.

'We have a lovely room and we'd have been happy to host,' a manager said, 'but nobody played here, and certainly nobody got interrupted by Martians.' Guests seeking a rhumba are asked to try again Saturday, when the bandleader is confirmed to exist.
