Lord Carnarvon Asked to Hurry, but Also Not to Rush

Lord Carnarvon, the English earl who has spent years paying for Howard Carter's excavations, is expected to receive word that a sealed tomb has been found and that nobody will open it until he arrives. He is advised to come quickly but not to rush.

Carter, meanwhile, plans to refill the staircase and wait, which friends describe as the hardest digging he has ever done. Carnarvon is not expected in Luxor for more than two weeks. The tomb has waited over 3,000 years and says it can manage.
